de Taj Mahal
Mid-March, me and two other thursdiner tried “de Taj Mahal”, the latest Indian & Middle East restaurant in town. This place has 7 concepted dining area which resembles a house: outdoor dining in the front garden, terrace, foyer, lounge, long dining table in the centre of restaurant, lesehan-style private room, and a private dining room. We chose the Khalifah private dining room since it was the most proper one to eat (not to forget it’s fancy leather table and cow-fur chairs).
- Complimentaries

They serve naan with redcurry dip & daal dip and Gahwa Taj’s Mahal as complimentary. The naan was great, both in taste and the baking quality (not even a single overburnt was found). The redcurry dip is also tasty, while the daal dip –made from black lentils- is not my liking, kinda bland to bitter. Gahwa Taj’s Mahal - habbatus coffee with ginger infusion – was addictive. They also had a wicker version of this beverage, named Gahwa Sari 29k, on which the sugar was substituted with dates. We didn’t manage to try it though.
