Spesial Bubur/Misoa Ayam Rizki

We were having breakfast in Jl. Erlangga before leaving Semarang. All of my friends were ordering chicken porridge but i was interested in misoa ayam. Misoa is white thin noodle made from wheat flour which will be soggy if soaked for a long time. The misoa ayam dish was consisted of misoa, chicken chunks, egg loo, celery, and tongcai (fermented radish). The chicken porridge was nothing special, but the misoa ayam was good. I definitely not wasting my 15k, nom nom :9

Pisang Plenet Khas Semarang

I was coming to this place expecting a slightly-pinched-then-grilled banana and i was in shock after i saw the visual of what a “pisang plenet” was. It was forcefully pinched that it looked more like pancakes than banana, yet not resulting in a mess (still wondering how they might done that).

Pisang plenet was sold as sandwich, double layer of pinched banana with variation of fillings.

Available fillings were classic (pineapple jam and dusted sugar) 2.5k, chocolate 2.5k, peanuts 2.5k, chocopeanuts 2.5k, cheese 4k, chococheese 4k.

Jagung Bakar Bu Joyo

was Jagung Bakar Bumbungsari. This place was reccomended by Lika to try Semarang-style sambal. I obviously couldn’t find any grilled-corn stall in Jogja which sell this kind of sambal. The Semarang-style sambal had a distinct sweetness. If you’re not into grilled-corn yet still want to try this kind of sambal, you may found it as saus spesial gama in Gama Seafood (and dont forget to order the butter-fried srimping too) :)
